                                                                  Mark Lytle's Scott's Special 2 on a J350

The Scott's Special 2 needs at least a J motor to fly. This was originally designed as a large rocket to fly on a J motor in front of a few thousand people at the Hot Air Jubilee in Jackson, MI. Above is the picture of the first flight on an Aerotech J420 Redline motor. The altitude was 800'. The following day it was flown on an Aerotech J570 White Lightning to an altitude of 1,300'.

I personally love slow flying rockets that bellow out tremendous flame and smoke, but I thoroughly test the kits as well. This kit has been flown on an Aerotech K700, Kosdon by Aerotech K600 and L1000.

Above pictures are flights on a L1000 Kosdon by Aerotech. The parachute failed to come completely out of the deployment bag having the rocket use tumble recovery. The damage was a cracked fillet on the outside. It was still in flyable condition!
